Description
The Bavarian capital, Munich, located idyllically at the
base of the Alps, is not famous only by the beer festival
(Oktoberfest). It has modern buildings, lots of gothic
and baroque churches. In Munich there is something for
everybody: sport in the Olympic centre or amazing soccer
matches, exhibitions, museums, galleries, theatres, cinemas
and international film festivals, fashion, concerts from
classic to tecno music, discotheques and much more. The
school is in a calm place of downtown. The school’s
library can be used for all those that want to continue
learning after class.
Lodging
The school offers rooms with breakfast in family houses,
which will be shared with a student of another nationality.
It is also possible to obtain a single room with half
board, or to choose between the student residence, private
apartments, a hotel or a youth hostel.
Academics
The teaching method is based on the modern use of the
German language. It concentrates in the spoken and the
writing aspects and trains the capacity to express written
and orally. It is also very important to exercise grammar
and sentence structures, and to extend the vocabulary.
The class activities include role playing game, language
games and discussions. The standard course is for those
who want to reach a good level of German in short time,
but that at the same time want to know enough the city.
The intensive courses are for those who want to reach
a good German level, and love to concentrate specially
in improving their communication skills. There are also
individual classes, specific courses and both modalities
can be combined , one-to-one classes and specific courses
can be attended (technical German, exams preparation of
German as a foreign language, pronunciation, etc.).
Activities
The school offers free time activities that are also good
to improve the German level, find friends and enjoy themselves.
Guided excursions by the city, museums, bars and discos
are organized.
