Description
The university town of Freiburg is one of most attractive
cities of Germany. It has a population of 200.000 inhabitants,
25.000 are students. Its history goes back 900 years;
the old city gives testimony of it. It is located on the
base of the Black Forest, very near France and Switzerland.
It can be a departure point of many excursions. It has
a good weather, it is the warmest and sunny city of Germany.
The school occupies a neoclassic building of three floors
in the downtown, two minutes away from the pedestrian
zone and the university. It has 14 classrooms, a room
for study, a computer-room with special software and access
to Internet.
Lodging
The school offers lodging in a family house, student residences,
shared apartments and hotels.
Academics
The school uses a communicative approach where the emphasis
is in the improvement of the communication skills, increasing
the confidence and developing the use of the German language
in every day situations. The classes are divided in three
different parts in charge of different teachers: grammar,
conversation and exercises of oral understanding. There
are courses for teenagers and adults, with different frequency,
individual or in group.
Activities
The social program includes excursions to the city and
their environs (the Black Forest and near cities of Basel
or Strasbourg), films projection, evenings in a pub, and
information about how to enjoy the time in Freiburg.
