Description
Berlin, the German capital, has been transformed since
the fall of the wall into the most fascinating city of
Germany. GLS counts on three floors in a renewed offices
building, few meters away from the house in which Marlene
Dietrich lived, in the heart of Schoeneberg, one of the
most popular districts of the city.
Lodging
GLS offers: shared apartment, room in family house with
breakfast or half board, and hotel rooms.
Academics
The school has courses of German for adults (more than
16 years old) during all the year. The levels go from
basic to advanced. The student can pass to the following
level as soon as his improvement makes it possible. German
is spoken from the first day. The first step will be a
test of level to determine which is the suitable level
for the student. On Fridays is made a small test to follow
the progresses of the student. By the end the course students
receive a GLS Certificate, with detailed information on
the reached level. The school is a recognized center for
the ZDaF examination (Zertifikat Deutsch als Fremdsprache,
the certificate of German as a foreign language).
Academics
The school offers a beer or a glass of wine free every
Monday as an opportunity to know other students. On Thursdays
afternoon there is a cinema forum or a cooking seminar.
Twice per month cooking workshop are given. Bicycles are
rented. 3 activities to the week are made coordinated
by the GLS guides. Twice to the month excursions to Postdam
Hamburg or Dresden are made.
